Doula Care

Doula – from the Greek word meaning “to serve.”

Together we will discover what your best birth looks like and I will support you in whatever that is for you and your family.

 
 

Emotional & Physical Support

Our appointments may include discussing your questions, finding information that you need to make informed choices throughout your pregnancy and birth for you and your baby, writing a birth plan, making herbal remedies for afterbirth or sharing herbal remedies for organic baby products.

Your care will be about your needs. Your choices will be respected and supported without judgment. I will help you and your partner with comfort measures for pregnancy and birth.

 

During Labor

Our team will help you emotionally and physically and support your partner too. I will help you transform your birth room into your sacred space.  We will use low lights and aromatherapy and anything else that will make it a comfortable and special environment. It is my hope that you will approach birth with trust feeling empowered and confident. I will be there to support your birth plan and I will always do this with professionalism and respect.

As a doula we will not perform any medical tasks, such as blood pressure, fetal heart tone checks or cervical exams. You will need to have OB or a midwife to monitor the clinical well being of you and your baby.

Each Ohana Doula Package, starts with our exceptional Doula Services.  This includes: support throughout your pregnancy and 1-2 prenatal meetings, 24 hr on-call availability from 38 weeks to delivery, continuous labor and delivery support, immediate postpartum assistance and a postpartum follow up visit

Ohana Birth Services will connect you with not only one amazing Doula, but TWO!  Ohana Birth Services, guarantees a Back-Up Doula, so you have the peace of mind that no matter what, you and your family will have trained, professional and compassionate support as you welcome your new baby into the world.  As an added bonus, as an Ohana client you also have access to our wide variety of team members for support and discounts on complimentary services
